This Cookie Policy explains how EZ Invoices uses cookies and similar technologies. Optional cookies stay off until you opt in. You can change that choice at any time.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them whenever you return. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining until they expire or you delete them).
2. Cookies We Use
We use the following categories of cookies:
These cookies are required for the site to work. They keep you signed in, remember whether the dashboard sidebar is open, and store the cookie choice you make here. You cannot turn these off from the banner, because the account and the choice itself depend on them.
- sb-* — Supabase sign-in session. Set only after you log in.
- ez-auth-managed, ez-auth-session — Remember how long to keep you signed in.
- ez-cookie-consent — Stores whether you opted in to analytics and advertising. Lasts 6 months.
- sidebar_state — Remembers the dashboard sidebar. Signed-in use only.
Off until you opt in. If you accept analytics, we load Microsoft Clarity for session recordings and heatmaps. Separately, we count page visits with Vercel Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you, so it runs for every visitor. Signed-in dashboard pages and the customer pay page are masked from Clarity, so invoice amounts and payment details are not recorded there. Rejecting analytics does not affect invoicing or payments.
Off until you opt in. If you accept advertising cookies, we load Google's tag (Ads ID AW-18351858546) to measure whether an ad led to a visit. Google may then set cookies such as _gcl_au. You can also limit ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.
When you make or receive a payment, Stripe may set cookies to facilitate the checkout process and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy.
3. Your Cookie Choices
The first time you visit, a banner asks you to accept all optional cookies, reject them, or choose analytics and advertising separately. Nothing optional loads before that choice. You can change it later from the footer, or here:
- On this site: Accept all, reject optional, or save a custom mix. The choice is stored in the ez-cookie-consent cookie for 6 months.
- Browser settings: You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies will keep you from staying signed in.
- Google: Use Google Ads Settings to limit ad personalization if you opted in.

4. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not rely on that signal, because browsers and ad networks treat it inconsistently. Use the cookie banner instead. If you have not opted in, analytics and advertising tags are not loaded.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the platform evolves and new technologies are introduced. We will post updates on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.
